Built for the Island,
by Island people

We started IslandBiz because we watched too many great local businesses lose customers to poor online presence — not because they weren't good at what they did.

Vancouver Island is full of exceptional small businesses — from the spa in Victoria's James Bay to the tour company in Tofino, the salon in Nanaimo, the restaurant in Courtenay, the trades contractor in Campbell River. They know their customers by name and have been part of their communities for decades.

But the internet doesn't always reflect that. A B&B with a 3.8 Google rating because no one asked for reviews. A guided kayak tour losing bookings because inquiry emails went unanswered after 5pm. An electrician spending Sunday nights manually following up with leads.

The tools that exist to solve these problems were either too expensive, too complicated, or built for American chain businesses — not a 12-person operation in Parksville or a boutique hotel in downtown Duncan.

So we built IslandBiz: simple, affordable, and designed from day one for the specific landscape of Vancouver Island small businesses. From Victoria to Campbell River — every community deserves the same tools.

“We don't sell software. We sell back hours of your week.”
